The DC College Savings Plan is a tax-advantaged 529 college savings investment plan (named after Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code) offered by the District of Columbia Government. The plan is designed to help families save for the higher education expenses of a designed beneficiary and is available to District residents as well as non-residents nationwide. The Office of Finance and Treasury administers the program and Calvert Investments of Bethesda, Maryland, is the program manager. Representatives from Calvert frequently attend community events throughout the District to explain the plan and its benefits.
